Reason #3 - the opportunity to make another kind of new friend. The M family had been staying in the state park next to our house for the past few weeks and were pulling up stakes today. (Too bad that we didn't meet them before their last day, but better late than never!) They planned for a year, sold everything they had, and have a plan to live in their RV for the next three years. Respect!! We look forward to hearing about their journeys through the US and Canada. Happy trails to you...

Reason #4 - peanut butter chocolate chip cookies. Okay, that doesn't have anything to do with homeschooling, except for the fact that I put "bake cookies" up on our brand-new dry erase board in the kitchen as today's household chore (the kids did a great job of "getting with the program", so to speak, that we started this week, so I thought they would appreciate seeing that today's "chore" was to bake :) ).
Reason #3...
ReplyDeleteSo sad you didn't get to meet sooner, but yes, you are right better late than never!
This is one reason I'd like for homeschoolers - in houses and RVs to know about "The Neighborhood" so that you can have a greater chance to meet such adventurous families! And they can hook up with you!
So glad you got to meet them...do they have a blog where they post about their journeys?
No, they don't have a blog up and running yet - it was one of the first things I asked. Hopefully they'll link up with The Neighborhood -they had never heard of anything like it before.
