I am grateful to all of our nation's veterans and fallen soldiers, as well as their families, for working to preserve the freedoms I cherish. I have seen military families' sacrifice as they live with their husbands/fathers thousands of miles away, for months (or years!) at a time, in harm's way. I have felt the gratitude of our servicemembers as they receive the smallest of gifts ( a letter, a care package, a Christmas card) and been humbled by it.
