Today is a hard day to be thankful. It's been a hard day, hard week.
Corrie ten Boom's sister Betsie said they even had to be thankful for fleas. Corrie didn't know how on earth she could thank God for fleas....until those fleas were the reason that the guards didn't come into their barracks and beat the women inside.
I'm thankful for my fleas, but I will reserve the right to be truly happy about them until I see what good thing they produce....I believe that all things work together for good for those that love God, and that makes it a little easier to have faith when things aren't so great in the moment.
